Chimneys , Chimney Liners
Factory built chimneys. We install only high quality stainless steel insulated chimneys built for wood-burning appliances, that will give you the peace of mind of knowing that they’re made to highest standards.
A masonry chimney with a deteriorated clay liner can be still saved by removing the old clay liner and installing a new stainless steel liner.
Wood Stoves
High efficiency wood stoves can save lots of money. They burn less wood and provide high heat output.
There are basically two kinds of high efficiency wood stoves: Catalytic and integral secondary combustion chamber design.
Catalytic stoves are usually more efficient , but more finicky and they have a limited life of the catalyst before needing to be replaced, although new catalysts often last 5 – 10 years.
Integral secondary combustion chamber design stoves are easy to operate and not so fussy what you burn, but usually not as efficient.
HRV - Heat Recovery Ventilators
HRV systems provide ventilation without the significant loss of heat or humidity. HRV introduces fresh air to a building and improves the climate inside a house, while also saving energy by reducing heating (and cooling) requirements.
HRVs and ERVs can be stand-alone devices that operate independently, or added to existing forced air furnace systems.
Fireplace Inserts
The fireplace insert is a factory made product inserted into an existing masonry fireplace.
Fireplace insert could be a good choice for people who have an existing open fireplace and chimney, since it greatly improves both fuel efficiency and heat output while also providing an attractive focal point to a room.
Modern fireplaces offer many features such as hot air duct with fan and thermostatic control ,that can heat up additional romms.
Fireplace inserts require installation of a new chimney or chimney liner.
House Ventilation and Duct Work
The duct work is supplying the hot air (and sometimes cool air if an AC unit is tied into the system) to every room and every floor in the house.
